Financial Analyst – Inventory, Pointe-Claire, Qc

The Financial Analyst - Inventory coordinates the results relating to the month end actual close for inventory for Avon Canada. Prepares inventory levels (by category) internal review. Track on a weekly base inventory receipts and in-transit. On a regular base, produce E1 report for inventory tracking to ensure inventory is on track with reporting.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee and review FSSC (Unposted Batches, Missing Cost Reports, etc).
  • Ensure that all reports are processed before requesting inventory transaction in E1. Producing Inventory reports in E1 and ensuring data is accurate. Formatting reports, importing data into the Canada version of the Inventory by Category report. Ensuring that the reports balance with the BS (Balance Sheet). Summarizing all data for Month End reporting.
  • Investigate any E1 discrepancies and/or issues. (via emails and conference calls)
  • Month end close and reporting
  • Prepare Journal Entry spreadsheets for postings with individual account balances.
  • Submit FMR (Free Merchandise Report) approvals.
  • Process FMR credits.
  • Monitor inventory transferred to QA or reject.
  • Topline reconciliations
  • Collect the latest data for Style Boutique analysis, formatting and preparing for reporting.
  • Prepare presentation for Commercial Review/IMB (Inventory Management Board) meetings.
  • Preparations of internal controls and support with audit requests.
  • Report various inventory data (Budget by month, Rolling Inventory days, update KPI (Key Performance Indicator) worksheet, Operation and Excess Inventory Levels reports, Due Diligence, TSOL (Total Size of Line) report.
  • Printing spooled cheques and distribute to requestors.
  • Maintain checking system.
  • Prepare SPR (Special Payment Requests) whenever needed for urgent requests.
  • Assist with AP related questions and inquiries.
  • Prepare bi-monthly LCIR (Life Cycle Inventory Report) – to determine the amount of excess by category and status.
  • Attend Finance meeting for reporting, Task Force meeting for excess, participate in Webcast meetings and reporting.
  • Track Inventory/Receipts bi-monthly.
  • Prepare and report Montreal Accuracy Report.
  • Updating Item Master File for all inventory reports.
  • Update Vendor Master List in excel as needed.
  • Stay current with company policies.
  • Prepare the campaign estimates file for the estimators & Marketing review.
  • Assist with product costing and Intercompany reconciliations.
  • Need to be a team player for other associates within finance and all other departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance paired with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, methodical and organized
  • Advanced Computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point
  • Works with very little supervision. Review of work at month-end
