Inventory Analyst / Expeditor

The Inventory Specialist / Expeditor is responsible for ensuring that all inventory systems are aligned and for analyzing /communicating our inventory position to the source of supply, for monitoring and securing all merchandise and literature needs to enhance the representative experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory Analyst

  • Analyse inventory Integrity reports and Provide inventory management process recommendations for ongoing improvements.
  • Analyse and correct billing Recommend process improvements.
  • Manage the destruction and duty claw back of obsolete
  • Work closely with 3rd party logistics provider to ensure timely receiving and updating of inventory, inventory accuracy and best-in-class inventory management process.
  • Work closely with Returns team to support timely processing, discrepancy investigation & correction, etc.
  • Prepare and actively participate in bi-annual warehouse count; investigate discrepancies and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Perform quarterly Internal Controls
  • Prepare monthly reports

    Expeditor

  • Monitors and controls all inventory levels based on trend analysis and ensures availability of finished goods to support Representative experience and earnings
  • Partners with 3PL to maximize efficiencies on assembly lines. Must have a good understanding of inventory in transit, truck departures and reprocesses orders wherever possible to maximize revenue opportunities without compromising efficiencies on the assembly lines.
  • Coordinates with Canada marketing, US planning, and deployment team to offer substitute products in the event of unforeseen shortage.
  • Informs Representatives on future product availability so Representatives can inform her customers
  • Collaborates with local marketing, US planning, and 3PL to ensure all phase in products have suitable substitutes set up on-line (maximize revenue and earnings opportunities)
  • Coordinates with QA and 3PL all non-conformance
  • Approves all miscellaneous merchandise requests and inter-branch shipments ensuring the Representative experience (revenue) is not compromised.
  • Collaborates with US deployment and US sourcing on root causes of product Ensures organization is informed and that corrective measures are taken (where possible)
  • Participates in key item reviews with US and local sourcing ensuring Canadian Representative’s demands are met
  • Partners with local sourcing on all locally purchased products ensuring just in time inventory (no excess)
  • Partners with IT on all QA for system enhancements ensuring flawless execution
Qualifications
  • University degree in Commerce
  • Proficiency in English (oral, written)
  • Proficiency with MS Office, ERPs and systems such as SAP, IDP, WIMS, JDA
  • Experience of 3 years in a role that includes warehousing, inventory control, or planning / purchasing responsibilities

  • Must be able to multitask, and prioritize accordingly
  • Able to work under minimal supervision

Working Conditions

Regular schedule with occasional additional availabilities;

This position deals with time sensitive issues. Must be flexible on working hours.
