Retail Sales Development Manager

Responsible for managing and developing accounts with major retailers and independent accounts to achieve the profit and sales targets. To effectively and efficiently drive business and continually build sales volume and brand presence in the North American market with all company brands. Manage overall operations responsible for the effective and successful management of the retail accounts and brand or category assigned by collaborating with the teams and departments within the value chain of the business.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for the entire sales cycle of retail accounts and brand/products assigned
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key buyers/managers with major retailers
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Negotiate and close agreements with retail accounts
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements internally and with retailers
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities with strategies to go into new markets and retailers
  • Develop customized retail plans with the retail accounts assigned
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with the retailers needs
  • Develop & communicate with various team functions to launch new brand/products for the retail accounts assigned
  • Provide assessment of profitability of the business in charge
  • Sourcing 3rd parties to develop/design seasonal set or ongoing programs.
  • Communicate with S&OP to make sure that we have sufficient inventory levels to fulfill set/programs with retailers
  • Create/Negotiate/Plan marketing promotions with major retailers to meet their needs
  • Support/help sales team with issues and coming up with solutions
  • Manage the ooperations and order processing team to provide excellent customer support and service. To make sure that orders are processed in a timely manner.
  • Analyze and monitor performance metrics and suggest improvements internally and with retailers
  • Analyze and monitor all elements to identify trends and opportunities and operate accordingly.
  • Partner with the Operations and Order Processing Team to provide excellent customer support and service.

Qualifications

Education requirements:

 University Degree in Business Administration or equivalent

 Experience requirements:

5+ years experience as in retail account management/sales business development or experience in retail merchandising

 Computer skills:

 MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint)

 Specific particularities of the position:

 This position requires travel 20% and Administrative 80%
